Our Team
Our team are built of elected volunteers. Bringing over 300 years of combined karate experience, our team works hard to keep the Federation operating and progressing.
Hamish Adam MBE 9th Dan
Sensei for Meadowbank Karate Group, Hamish is one of our founding members and led the SKF in his role as Chairman until 2023 when he was made Honourary President. Hamish is the one of the Technical Leads for the Federation, and regularly heads the Dan Gradings.

Steven Adam 6th Dan
Sensei for Meadowbank Karate Group, Steven was promoted to Chairman in 2026. Steven is also our Kumite Coach for the Under 21’s, and is a former Scottish, British and European Champion.

Sensei for Almondvale Karate Club, Eric has been our Vice Chairman since 2026. Eric is also our Team Manager, and is responsible for the organisation of taking our teams to regional, national and international events.

Sensei for East Whitburn Karate Club, Stuart has been our Secretary since 2010. Stuart is the Chief Referee for the Federation, and regularly judges and referees at events across the world with the WKF.
